When to go
Best time to visit Andaman
October to May. November to April brings calm seas, clear water for snorkelling and ferries that keep to schedule. October and May are warmer, with a chance of showers. June to September is monsoon: rough seas, and ferries and boat trips are often cancelled.

Prafull's notes
- Seats on the better private ferries go first in December and January, so we book them as soon as you confirm.
- Go to Radhanagar Beach in the late afternoon and stay for sunset. It is the best light of the day, and the sand is cooler.
- Mobile data is patchy on Havelock and Neil, and there are few ATMs. Carry some cash, and keep your tickets downloaded.

Andaman questions
How many days do you need for the Andamans?
Five or six nights covers Port Blair, Havelock and Neil Island without rushing. With four nights, skip Neil: our Best of Port Blair & Havelock.
What is the best time to visit the Andamans?
November to April, when the sea is calm and clear and the ferries keep to schedule. October and May are fine but warmer. Avoid June to September, the monsoon, when boats are often cancelled.
Do Indian citizens need a permit for the Andamans?
No. Indian citizens don't need a permit for Port Blair, Havelock or Neil Island. Carry a valid photo ID for every ferry; a PAN card is not accepted.
Can non-swimmers snorkel or do a sea walk?
Yes. At Elephant Beach the reef starts close to the shore, and the operators give you a life jacket and a guide. A sea walk needs no swimming at all.
Are flights included in the price?
No. Our prices are land only: hotels, ferries, transfers and sightseeing. We quote flights from Mumbai separately for your dates.
