When to go
Best time to visit South Africa
October to April. Cape Town and the Garden Route are warm and dry from October to April. Game viewing in Kruger is best in the dry winter, May to September, when animals gather at water; safaris run all year.

Prafull's notes
- Travel insurance is compulsory for visitors to South Africa.
- On safari, stay seated in the vehicle and keep your voice low near animals.
- Cape Town's weather changes fast; the Table Mountain cable car closes in strong wind.
- Tipping guides and drivers is customary, about 10 percent.
Good to know
South Africa questions
Which safari should I choose in South Africa?
Pilanesberg, next to Sun City, is easy and good for families. Kruger is Africa's most famous park. A private reserve like Mabula gives you game drives from your lodge with all meals. Each of our safari trips starts with the Cape and the Garden Route.
How many days do you need for South Africa?
Six nights covers Cape Town and the Garden Route. Eight to ten nights adds a safari at Sun City and Pilanesberg, Kruger or Mabula.
Are the prices in rupees?
Our South Africa prices are in US dollars per person and are payable in rupees at the day's exchange rate; GST (5%) and TCS are added.
Are flights included?
No. Prices are land only. We quote flights from Mumbai and the internal flight from George to Johannesburg separately.
