When to go
Best time to visit Rajasthan
October to March. Warm days and cool nights. April to June is very hot; the monsoon months are humid but Udaipur's lakes fill up.

Prafull's notes
- Reach Amber Fort by 8 am — before the coaches — and you'll have the Sheesh Mahal almost to yourself.
- Ranakpur's Jain temple opens to visitors around midday; we time the Jodhpur–Udaipur drive so you arrive when it does. Leather items stay in the car.
- In the dunes, nights are cold from December to February even when days are warm. Pack a light jacket.

Rajasthan questions
How many days do you need for Rajasthan?
Six nights covers Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur well. Add two nights for Jaisalmer and the dunes, or do Jaipur and Udaipur alone in four.
What is the best time to visit Rajasthan?
October to March, when days are warm and nights cool. Avoid April to June, when temperatures often cross 40°C.
Can we stay in palace hotels?
Yes. Choose Premium hotels for heritage havelis and palace hotels in every city, Deluxe for 4★ and boutique stays, or Standard for well-located 3★ hotels.
Is Rajasthan good for senior citizens?
Yes. Forts involve ramps and steps, so we use golf carts or lifts where available and keep sightseeing to mornings and evenings.
