Day 2

Pachmarhi Sightseeing by Gypsy

After breakfast, a day around Pachmarhi by open Gypsy, as most of the sights are inside the national park: the Bison Museum of the area's wildlife and history; the Pandav Caves, five rock-cut caves on a low hill linked by legend to the Pandava brothers; Bee Falls, named for its humming sound; Reechgarh, a huge natural cave once home to bears; and Dhoopgarh, at 4,429 ft the highest point in the Satpuras, for the sunset.

Can this itinerary be changed?

Yes. Every TripRoutes trip is private, so we can add or remove nights, swap Pachmarhi or any other stop, change hotels, or adjust the pace.

How many days do you need for Madhya Pradesh?

Three nights covers Ujjain and Omkareshwar, Bhopal and Sanchi, or Pachmarhi on its own. Five nights covers two tiger reserves, or Gwalior, Khajuraho and Orchha. Our longest trips run to 7 or 8 nights.

Which is better for tigers, Kanha or Bandhavgarh?

Both are among India's best-known tiger reserves. Bandhavgarh is smaller and known for its tigers and leopards; Kanha is larger, with open meadows and the rare hard-ground barasingha. Our Bandhavgarh and Kanha trip does both, two nights each.
