Itinerary (day wise)
The Cape and the Garden Route, then the real thing: two nights at Kruger, Africa's most famous national park, with a full day of Big Five game viewing.
Day 1Arrive in Cape Town
Airport to hotel · about 30 minutes
Your driver meets you at Cape Town airport for a private transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours: walk the city centre, or head to the V&A Waterfront for its shops and restaurants by the harbour.

Day 2Cape Town and Table Mountain
A half-day private guided tour of the city, with the cable car to the top of Table Mountain (weather permitting) and a drive and walk through the centre. In the afternoon you could take the boat to Robben Island, shop at Canal Walk or go wine tasting in the Constantia or Stellenbosch winelands (all optional).

Day 3The Cape Peninsula
A full-day private guided tour down the peninsula: a photo stop at Camps Bay, a boat ride from Hout Bay to the seals of Seal Island, and the cliff road of Chapman's Peak Drive (both weather permitting). At Cape Point, ride the funicular to the lighthouses and stop at the Cape of Good Hope, then lunch in Simon's Town (at your own cost) and the African penguins of Boulders Beach.

Day 4Route 62 to Oudtshoorn
About 400 km · a scenic day's drive
Leave Cape Town for the Garden Route by Route 62, the scenic inland road through the winelands and mountain passes of the Little Karoo, to Oudtshoorn. The evening is free.

Day 5Oudtshoorn, then on to Knysna
About 100 km
Guided visits to a working ostrich farm, the limestone chambers of the Cango Caves and the Cango Wildlife Ranch, then on to Knysna on its lagoon.

Day 6A free day on the Garden Route
A day for your choice of the coast's highlights (optional, at extra cost): the suspension bridge at Storms River Mouth in Tsitsikamma, the Bloukrans bungee jump, the Monkeyland and Birds of Eden sanctuaries, or shark-cage diving at Mossel Bay. In the evening, a sunset cruise on the Knysna Lagoon.

Day 7Fly to Johannesburg, on to Kruger
Flight, then about 5 hours by road
A transfer to George airport for the flight to Johannesburg (not included). You are met on arrival and driven to the Kruger area: a hotel at Hazyview, close to the park, with the 3-star and 4-star levels, or a lodge inside a private concession of Kruger with the 5-star level. Dinner and the night there.

Day 8A day in Kruger National Park
A full day of Big Five game viewing in Kruger National Park in an open safari vehicle, looking for lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. With the 5-star level, you have morning and afternoon drives from your lodge instead, with all meals.

- Prices are per person in US dollars, sharing a room, land only, by the number of guests travelling together, and are payable in rupees at the day's exchange rate. Valid for travel until 31 March 2027; Christmas, New Year and South African school holidays may cost more.
- Children aged 2 to 11 and single travellers have their own rates, quoted on request.
- The internal flight from George to Johannesburg (on the safari trips) is not included; we book it for you at the best fare for your dates.
- Your private vehicle: a sedan or MPV for 2, a 7-seat minivan for 3 or 4, and a Toyota Quantum or similar for 6 to 8.
- Table Mountain, the Seal Island boat and Chapman's Peak depend on the weather; your guide rearranges the days if needed.
- Indian passport holders need a visa for South Africa; we send you the current checklist when you book.
- Travel insurance is compulsory for South Africa.

October to April. Cape Town and the Garden Route are warm and dry from October to April. Game viewing in Kruger is best in the dry winter, May to September, when animals gather at water; safaris run all year.

- Flights, trains and houseboats are paid in full at the time of ticketing or confirmation.
- Payments by bank transfer (NEFT / RTGS / IMPS), UPI or cheque in favour of TripRoutes. Card payments may carry a convenience fee.
- GST 5% is charged on the package cost as per government rules. On international holidays, TCS also applies as per government rules.
- Cancellation charges are per person, counted from the date of departure.
- Cancellations must be sent in writing by email or WhatsApp; the date we receive it is the cancellation date.
- Air and train tickets are refunded as per the airline / railway rules, plus our service charge.
- Visa fees, insurance premiums and non-refundable hotel or houseboat bookings (peak dates, special events) are not refundable.
- Refunds are processed within 15 working days of receiving supplier refunds.
- There is no refund for services not used during the holiday.
- Hotels may ask for a refundable security deposit at check-in, paid directly to the hotel.
