Day 1

Arrive in Bali

Welcome to Bali. Our representative meets you at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar and drives you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to settle in, have a swim and rest after the flight.

Day 2

Waterfalls, Tirta Empul and the Ceking rice terraces

A full day in central Bali. Kanto Lampo is a waterfall that spills over stepped black rock; Goa Raja is a quieter one hidden in the jungle. Then Tirta Empul, the spring temple where Balinese come to bathe in the holy water, and the Ceking rice terraces near Tegalalang, watered by the old subak canals. Back to your hotel in the evening.

Day 3

Fast boat to Gili Trawangan

After breakfast, transfer to Serangan harbour for the fast boat to Gili Trawangan, about 2.5 hours. There are no cars on the island: from the harbour you take a cidomo, a small horse cart, to your hotel (paid locally; agree the price before you set off). The rest of the day is free.

Day 4

A free day on Gili Trawangan

Gili Trawangan is small enough to cycle round in about an hour; hotels and shops rent bicycles. Snorkel off the beach, where turtles are often seen, take a glass-bottom boat or a dive, or watch the sunset from the west coast.

Day 5

Back to Bali

After breakfast, a cidomo to the harbour and the fast boat back to Serangan, where your driver meets you and takes you to your hotel. A free afternoon.

Day 6

Sunset at Tanah Lot

A slow morning. In the late afternoon, drive to Tanah Lot, the sea temple on a rock just offshore, one of Bali's most photographed sights. Walk the cliff path and stay for sunset before heading back.

Leave Bali

Breakfast, and time to relax or shop until your driver takes you to the airport for your flight home.

Package cost

Price per person in US dollars. Twin share is per adult with two sharing a room; the single supplement is added to the twin-share price for a guest in a room alone. Land only.

Rates in US Dollars per person, minimum two adults travelling together. GST 5% and TCS extra as per Government of India rules. Payable in INR at the prevailing exchange rate.

Good to know

• Rates are per person in US dollars, valid 1 November 2026 to 31 March 2027, for at least two adults travelling together.
• Fast-boat times depend on the sea; in rough weather boats can be delayed or cancelled, and we rearrange your days.
• Gili Trawangan has no cars or motorbikes. Pack light: luggage goes on the cidomo.
• No check-in or check-out on 31 December 2026, or on 8 March 2027 (Nyepi, Bali's Day of Silence, when the airport and roads close for 24 hours).
• Hotels add a surcharge over Christmas and New Year and on some dates in March, and most charge for a compulsory gala dinner on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. We quote these for your dates.
• Hotels apply stricter cancellation terms over the Christmas and New Year peak. We share them before you pay.
• N/A in the price table means the room cannot take a third person or a child; we can quote a second room or a larger room.
• Child rates are for a child sharing a room with two adults; each hotel sets its own age limits.
• Services not used on the trip are not refundable.
• Indian passport holders get a visa on arrival or an e-VOA, and pay Bali's tourist levy. Your passport must be valid for six months beyond your return date.

When to go

April to October. The dry season, with sunny days and calm seas. November to March is the wet season: warm, green, with short heavy showers.

Cancellation policy & payment terms

• Flights, trains and houseboats are paid in full at the time of ticketing or confirmation.
• Payments by bank transfer (NEFT / RTGS / IMPS), UPI or cheque in favour of TripRoutes. Card payments may carry a convenience fee.
• GST 5% is charged on the package cost as per government rules. On international holidays, TCS also applies as per government rules.
• Cancellation charges are per person, counted from the date of departure.
• Cancellations must be sent in writing by email or WhatsApp; the date we receive it is the cancellation date.
• Air and train tickets are refunded as per the airline / railway rules, plus our service charge.
• Visa fees, insurance premiums and non-refundable hotel or houseboat bookings (peak dates, special events) are not refundable.
• Refunds are processed within 15 working days of receiving supplier refunds.
• There is no refund for services not used during the holiday.
• Hotels may ask for a refundable security deposit at check-in, paid directly to the hotel.
• Prices are subject to availability at the time of booking.
• TripRoutes is not liable for changes caused by weather, strikes, roadblocks, flight delays or government orders; extra costs arising are payable by the guest.
