Three nights in Udaipur, the city of lakes: an evening boat on Lake Pichola, a day around the city's lakes and gardens, and a day trip to the great hilltop fort of Chittorgarh.

Day 1

Arrive in Udaipur

Welcome to Udaipur. Your driver meets you at the railway station or airport and takes you to your hotel. In the evening, take a boat out on Lake Pichola (at your own cost) for the palaces along the water and the sunset.

Day 2

Udaipur Sightseeing

After breakfast, a day around Udaipur: Fateh Sagar lake, the Maharana Pratap Memorial, a photo stop at Nehru Garden, Saheliyon-ki-Bari (the garden of the maids of honour), a drive past Sukhadia Circle, and Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum, with its folk costumes, jewellery, puppets and masks.

Day 3

Excursion to Chittorgarh

After breakfast, a full-day trip to Chittorgarh, the fort most tied to Rajput pride and sacrifice, whose stories the bards of Rajasthan still sing. The main reason to come is the vast hilltop fort itself, with its palaces, temples and towers.

Departure from Udaipur

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Udaipur railway station or airport for your journey home.

When to go

October to March. Warm days and cool nights. April to June is very hot; the monsoon months are humid but Udaipur's lakes fill up.

Cancellation policy & payment terms

• Flights, trains and houseboats are paid in full at the time of ticketing or confirmation.
• Payments by bank transfer (NEFT / RTGS / IMPS), UPI or cheque in favour of TripRoutes. Card payments may carry a convenience fee.
• GST 5% is charged on the package cost as per government rules. On international holidays, TCS also applies as per government rules.
• Cancellation charges are per person, counted from the date of departure.
• Cancellations must be sent in writing by email or WhatsApp; the date we receive it is the cancellation date.
• Air and train tickets are refunded as per the airline / railway rules, plus our service charge.
• Visa fees, insurance premiums and non-refundable hotel or houseboat bookings (peak dates, special events) are not refundable.
• Refunds are processed within 15 working days of receiving supplier refunds.
• There is no refund for services not used during the holiday.
• Hotels may ask for a refundable security deposit at check-in, paid directly to the hotel.
• Prices are subject to availability at the time of booking.
• TripRoutes is not liable for changes caused by weather, strikes, roadblocks, flight delays or government orders; extra costs arising are payable by the guest.
